Junior teams heading towards league titles
Last weekend saw the trio of our Junior tennis teams clinch one Fylde League title and close in on another one after three wins against their respective opponents.

The Division One squad had a 5/1 win over Hambleton at our Club on Saturday to go 18 points clear at the top of the table. Elliot Gardner and Dan Main had comfortable singles and doubles wins, and young Joel McAllister, making his debut, teamed up with Oliver MacNeil in a crucial doubles win. Lancaster now only need one point from their last two matches to clinch the title and will hope to do this at St Annes on July 16th.

On Sunday, the Division Two squad earned the 5/1 win that they needed against title rivals St Chads to put themselves out of reach and make the title certain with one match still to play. Adam Hill clinched the crucial 5th win after an epic tie break which enthralled the fans. There were also wins from Joseph Hester, Oliver MacNeil and Matthew Cross in an entertaining evening of tennis.

Elsewhere the u14 squad of Owen Cross, Filip Stuchik, Lewi Mackenzie and Jolyon Troughton travelled to Wrea Green and returned with a  fantastic 6/0 win to consolidate 4th place in the table.

Next weekend sees the first of home and away fixtures against Slyne Tennis Club in the Lancaster and District league.
