Great afternoon of tennis
The afternoon of Saturday April 11th was cool but sunny providing pleasant playing conditions for the Club's Spring Open Day.

A number of current members, including parents, were on hand to greet those coming to try out tennis. There were nearly 30 players in total, including around 20 juniors manyof whom had fun trying out mini tennis - being shown how to play by experiencedjunior players Elliot Gardner, Danny Main and Tom Bowe.

Everyone had a good time in a very informal and relaxed environment, learning more about strokes and tactics from Club Coach Eden Parkinson.  Thanks very much to all the helpers, especially Shirley, Jennifer, Annabel and Tina.

Open Day organiser Susan Lucas said:
"We were very pleased to welcome a number of new players of all ages to the Club to try out tennis, which we know is a sociable game as well as good exercise.   We were especially pleased that some of the adult players were returning to play after some years away from the sport.”

The Club’s next Open Day, which will be part of the Great British Tennis Weekend (GBTW) is from 2 to 4pm on Sunday June 14th .
Before then the Club will be very busy playing team matches, organising tournaments and offering junior, wheelchair and adultcoaching. Enquires to Sandra on tel: 07752619241
