Lancaster Tennis Club website. We are a friendly and welcoming club with three astro turf courts based on Lune Road about 1/2 mile from Lancaster railway station. We are part of Lancaster Sports and Social Club, so have access to the main Clubhouse facilities and bar as well as our own small clubhouse.

In 2011 we were voted Community Club of the Year for Lancaster, and have been supported by funding from Sport England, Lancaster City Council, the Galbraith Trust, the Alice and Frank Bridges and the Lancaster and District Tennis League.

We are affiliated to the national Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and currently have 3 active teams in the local Mixed Tennis league, a Men's team in Division in the Fylde League and both the Men's and Ladies' teams in Division 1 in the Kendal league.

We are always keen to extend our membership and welcome new enthusiastic people, including beginners. We especially welcome juniors and have an active coaching and playing programme and a special junior membership rate. Do click here for more information on our membership arrangements.

Please do contact us if you want any more information, or pop down to one of our Club social tennis nights on most Friday evenings from 7 pm onwards.

The Club is committed to extending its membership to those from socially deprived areas, by offering the chance to get involved and have a sense of belonging. Applications for external funding to support this objective, and to raise funds to resurface our astro-turf courts are currently being made to Sport England.

Watch this website for an update on these funding applications and the special opportunities we hope to offer.
