At a major Lancashire Sport presentation evening in the Preston Guild Hall on Friday December 4th, Club fundraiser and treasurer Susan Lucas was awarded the Lancashire Sport Lifetime Achievement award.

This was one of many awards chosen on the night including best primary school, secondary school, rising star, coach and volunteer.

Three awards were won by the Lancaster district - the Coach for Disability sport and the Community Club of the Year(Lancaster and Morecambe Hockey Club whose main coach and mentor is Club member Nick Davey) as well as Susan.

Susan received the award in recognition of her contribution to local sport - tennis, and especially fund raising for our Club, and running (Lancaster& Morecambe AC where she was treasurer and helped to organise Club running races for a number of years).   This is the video shot before the presentation  -   She received the award from former  star Blackpool and England football player Jimmy Armfield.
