Junior squads maintain terrific start
The Club saw continuing success over the weekend. The U17 Boys' squad defeated last season's Fylde League Division 1 runners up Broughton with an emphatic 6-0 victory on Saturday, to add to their opening day win over last year's title winners St Chads from Poulton Le Fylde.

Carnforth High School pair, Peter Nickson and Elliot Gardner, comprehensively defeated their opponents in both singles and doubles, while LRGS star Thomas Bowe paired up with Ripley St Thomas's Dan Main to win a tight doubles match before they rounded off the whitewash with relatively easy wins in their singles matches.

Not to be outdone, the U17 A team had their third win of the season beating Hambleton in Fylde Division 2 in the same score, 6-0 on Sunday. The winning players were Reuben Orr, Oliver MacNeil and Matthew Cross all from Ripley St Thomas and Adam Hill from LRGS.

And to complete the whitewash, there was also a 6-0 win for the Fylde League U14 squad away at Moorland on the Fylde Coast on Saturday. Owen Cross (another Ripley St Thomas player), Filip Stuchlik (also LRGS), Jolyon Troughton (Christchurch Primary) and Morgan Gardner (Caton St Paul’s Primary) gained their first win of the season to make it a good weekend all round for coach Eden Parkinson, who is developing lots of talented players over at Lune Road.
