Hello and welcome to the Lancaster Tennis Club website.

We are a friendly and welcoming club with three astro turf courts based on Lune Road about 1/2 mile from Lancaster railway station. We are part of Lancaster Cricket and Sports Club, so have access to the main Clubhouse facilities and bar as well as our own small clubhouse.

In 2011 we were voted Community Club of the Year for Lancaster, and in recent years have been supported by funding from a wide range of sponsors including Sport England, Lancaster City Council, the Galbraith Trust, EDF and Cumberland Building Society.

We are affiliated to the national Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and have two active teams in the local Mixed Tennis league, a Men's team in Division 1 in the Fylde League and Men's and Ladies' teams in Division 1 in the Kendal league. We now also have junior teams in the local and Fylde leagues

We are always keen to extend our membership and welcome new enthusiastic people, including beginners. We especially welcome juniors and have an active coaching and playing programme and a special junior membership rate. Do click here for more information on our membership arrangements.

Please do contact us if you want any more information, or pop down to one of our Club social tennis nights on most Wednesdays (from 7.30pm alongside adult coaching) and Fridays (from 7 pm onwards).

The 2014 season has started with an Open Day on March 29th and an active junior, adult and wheelchair coaching programme - see news page. The match season is also well underway for both adults and juniors.

The Club took part in the Great Britain Tennis Weekend on Sunday June 29th with a very successful Open Day with over 40 people of all ages attending.

To celebrate the completion of the disabled toilet, there was an informal social event on Tuesday July 1st which was attended by representatives of EDF one of the major sponsors. There was a good turnout of members, as well as Lancaster Cricket and Sports Club Vice Chairman David Wray and City Councillor Jon Barry. (Photos to be added soon)

Back in July 2013 the refurbished Clubhouse was officially opened by Jon Barry, City Councillor for Castle Ward, who cut the ribbon.
